Decrease screen brightness

Decrease screen brightness
This is just an electronic device that has been sucking all your attention and energy, forcing you to live in the virtual world. The virtual world is so vast and full of possibilities that one finds it very hard to keep oneself from it. Its like the 40 hour dreams in inception....."These people do not come here everyday to go to sleep Mr. Cobb, they come here everyday to wake up."
But alas, its mere electromagnetic waves floating in the infinite space time. Nothing would change in its absence.

Decrease screen brightness.
Staring too long at the laptop, we tend to drown into the screen and the internet and whatever secrets we believe it promises to hold. Mostly the ones that do not matter, the ones that wouldn't have made a difference to our lives had we not spent hours probing into it. And after all the hard work, still unsatisfied, still hungry, one ends up re-posting the least repulsive story one comes across and tries to make a big deal of it, maybe edit it, add his/her own thoughts, expecting to see what others have to say about it. About his/her apparent version.
Its the kind of pseudo-satiety, the likes of which a veteran war hero tries to find in coaching new recruits or at the shooting range, neither of which bring back the thrill and awe of putting a bullet through a fellow humans body. Or a formerly famous TV personality tries to find his place in the society by doing acts in his/her screen name. Birdman for reference.
Its all a drunken farce.

Decrease screen brightness.
Bring it to ambient candela per square meters.
Look away.
Its beautiful out there.
Something you can feel, touch, smell, breathe.
Something real.

Go for a jog. Let those lungs burn with the gush of fresh air. Let that blood flow in your body the way it would have had we been still wild. Find out what you have missed all this while trying to find something to feel good about yourself. Its all out there. In reality, in entirety.

Live.
